Ruth Rowan (born September 12, 1948) is an American politician from the U.S. state of West Virginia. She is a member of the Republican Party and is currently the West Virginia House of Delegates member from the 50th District, which represents Mineral County and Hampshire County in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.[1] In 2004 she defeated the embattled House Delegate Jerry Mezzatesta for his seat after he was embroiled in a political scandal of 2003-2004.[2]

Rowan was born in Pennsylvania. She was received her B.S. and M. Ed. from California University of Pennsylvania. She married Tom Rowan and they had two children, Julie and Tom. Rowan is a long-time elementary school teacher in Hampshire County Schools.
